Going Batty at Market this weekend !

We are going Batty at Market this weekend - that is, we have one of the coolest plants on the planet, the " Bat Plant" !

One of the most unusual blooming "faces" around, the bloom looks just like a Bat, whiskers and all.

Loving bright shade and good moisture, it's a winner for those who want something special in their shade gardens.

Another exotic offering in the plant world, the Nepenthes Plant, aka "pitcher plant" is another exciting, rare plant we have.  People most know this plant as one of those that "Eats Bugs!" !  The pitcher, which is an extension of the leaf,  holds moisture and trap bugs inside and feeds on them.

Bright shade on porches, or out in the garden, under a tree etc, this plant gets peoples attention for it's uniqueness.

Rounding out a rare trio treat, is the Staghorn Fern "Superbum" - this unique Stag loves the same areas, aka bright shade, and is best grown attached to wood, or in a basket, hanging sideways !

Uncommonly found, this specimen is wanted world wide for good reason - as it gets older, it just is a spectacular specimen. but we feel, even as a youngling, it is truly a show stopper.

We are back from our road trip, visiting our favorite small nursery friends and came home with lots of great new mini succulents, mini tropicals, tropical foliage for shade and filtered light.

We also continue to have some great things that will tolerate our hot and humid summers such as the Mandevilla, Diplodenia, Button Ginger, Lady of the Night Brunsfelsia, Bougainvillia and sun hardy perennial Pentas that will give lots of joy to your butterflies and much more.

Turnout at Market has been fantastic the first two weeks and we want to continue the great karma and energy going forward !  We are there, rain or shine, just look for us on the NE corner of market.

Customers are loving the shade of the Oak Trees and the less hectic pace, but still finding everything they need and expect for a great Farmers Market.

You can also keep tabs on the summer time Market at their new Facebook site "Williams Park summer market", check it out !
