October greetings all !  This weekend we are headed for one of our most fun shows,
the Boktoberfest at BOK TOWER in Lake Wales, FL.

It's a great one-tank trip for anyone in our area and the best part is, the entrance to the park is free on Saturday (which means a huge savings...believe me, people travel from all over Florida to come to this).

Here are the details:

October 19, 2013
8:00a - 6:00p
Join us for Central Florida's most unique Oktoberfest celebration !
"Voted "Florida's Best Garden," the National Historic Landmark was dedicated in 1929 as a gift from world peace advocate Edward Bok. Nearly 700 acres of conservation lands and gardens surround a 205-foot art deco Singing Tower carillon and Pinewood Estate, a 20-room, Mediterranean-style 1930s winter retreat. This popular Central Florida vacation destination where visitors come here to relax and escape the stress of today's busy world, is a haven for wildlife with hidden geocaches and rare plants found nowhere else in the world."

Beside just getting entrance to the park, there will be loads of activities for all ages, plus live music all, beer garden (for the "of age"!), petting zoo etc for the kiddies.  There will be 40 plus vendors there with huge set ups, all of us bringing our own specialties.  Our good friends, Tropiflora Nursery from Sarasota, will be there, along with Fla. Central Garden Ferns, plus some of our good Sat. Morning Market vendor neighbors will be there, such as the Schrameks with Tropical Stain Glass, Linda of Its Our Nature, Plantopia and more.

The gardens themselves are quite a site with very cool paths to walk on and gorgeous plantings all around.  The park is large, but they have a very efficient set up with trams and remote parking to make it easy on patrons, plus they will help you get your purchases to your car.

All in all, it's going to a fun day with great weather, and we hope you can join us.

Meanwhile, while we will be out of Sat. Morning Market this weekend, we will  return the following weekend, and then only one more time out, when we go to Mt. Dora for their 19th annual Fall Plant Festival the first weekend of November.

We will be updating our "Availability Plant list" next week, so keep an eye on the blog, And as always, feel free to contact us during the week if you can't make it market and we will set up an appointment in St. Pete.
