Halloween Weekend at Market

Happy Halloween Weekend !

Greetings all, and hope you are ready to get out and enjoy another beautiful weekend of weather here in Florida.

We are running late on the blog post this week as Mitch and I made a quick last-minute run to pick up some goodies....

One of which is this crazy guy to the left....Tacca, aka "Bat" Flower.  Who doesn't love to see this flower pop up, especially this time of year.  Loving shade/filtered light and a good bit of moisture, Bats actually can bloom on and off all year long.

Along with our "adult Bats", we have Baby Bats too - in bloom !

Last week at market was succulent-crazy madhouse - and we are ready for another one, with tons of choices and some new items in the Mini-Succulent and Cacti world.

Our customers have been asking for new colorful perennials and herbs for their Fall gardens and we have a great selection this week -  yummy Basil and Rosemary, and, Mona Lavender Plectranthus, Canna Lilies, Pink Gaura, Yellow osteospurnum - tons of great colors that will attract butterflies and bees to your garden.

Of course, we have great selection of Passion flower vines that will please those critters too.

Also, this weekend, we are running a close out special on Butterfly Wing Plants - We have to make room at the nursery, and this is the last of the crop, going for just $5 each !

We still have some stunners that we brought home from lake Wales a few weeks ago - Blue Ginger, and gorgeous Spiral Ginger.

Also, come by the booth at Market and check out some very cool new larger size succulents, Stapeliads & Euphorbias String of Pearl, Giant and Mini Starfish plants and one very cool Opuntia that we can't wait to show you.

Meanwhile, mark your calendars as we get ready to participate in a new Sunday monthly market, called "Thrill Hill market" that will take place on the grounds of the Old Southeast Market place, 1700 3rd Street South, St. Pete. The Fall dates are Sunday, Nov. 20th, and Sunday, Dec. 18th --just in time for some great holiday shopping opportunities.

The middle of November, we will be off to historic Mount Dora, FL for their annual Fall Plant sale - stay tuned for details about that.
