Summer Market begins at Williams Park June 4th, 2016

Summer Market time is here!  Which means the Saturday Morning Market relocates to it's shady summer location in Williams Park, downtown St. Pete.

If you haven't been to the park lately this is a great excuse to stop by and see the many improvements that have been made.  During the last 6 months, the Bus Hub has been relocated away from the park and it has really made a difference to the look of the park and its surroundings.

Williams Park is one our most beloved historic places in downtown St. Pete, brimming with large shady oaks, comfortable walk ways, shaded benches and a large stage pavilion.

About 50 of your favorite Saturday Morning Market vendors will line the winding sidewalks beneath the shade of the many oaks and you can still find a great assortment of fresh veggies, cheeses, breads, to-go foods, artisans and plant people, like us !

Market begins this Sat. June 4th, and runs through the end of August. Market hours are 9am - 1pm. There is plenty of on-street parking surrounding the park and a safe and welcoming atmosphere.  You can find Armstrong Nursery in the very Northeast corner of the park (3rd street and 2nd avenue north), right under the Oaks. Our good friends,  Steve & Kim Schramek, will be our immediate neighbors, and they will be running fabulous sales on the close out of their Tropical Glass Creations business, and also manning a booth for their newest business acquisition, Organic Cotton Products and Hats of Its Our Nature.

So, what's new with Armstrong Nursery ?!

Our goal is to have the typical gorgeous plant display booth that you find at our booth in regular market season and this weekend we are stocked up with all new and gorgeous Mini Succulents.  We also returned from a plant buying trip with some fabulous tropicals for shade outdoors and Indoor Plants.

We still have a good supply of the popular Bougainvillea, Perennial Morning Glories, Passion Vines, summer perennials and exotic treasures for your home and garden.

Also, this weekend, we are phasing out of one of our smaller side products, Fairy Garden items - We have start up packets for Fairy Garden containers that include soil, moss and rock, plus  Fairy Garden decor - all on sale ! And to complete the transition, we have Mini Tropicals that you can use to get you started on this very popular form of gardening.

Back this week, we are restocked up on the popular varigated edible Purple Peppers - pleasantly hot peppers with gorgeous foliage, and yes, they will thrive this summer for you.

Also this time of year, the unusual Plumeria Pudica, is starting to bloom and we have them in 1 gallon pots.

One of our popular sellers is the Egyptian Papyrus Plant - Annie found a great pic on Pinterest that really shows off these beauties and what you can do with them. Great for outlining an area, or as a back drop/privacy coverage.

We hope you make it a point to continue your market shopping this summer - Summer market vendors really appreciate the community support during this time of year - See ya at Market !
