10th year anniversary of Market !

This season brings us the 10th anniversary of the Saturday Morning Market, downtown St. Pete, and all November long, many of the market vendors, including us, will have specials in honor of this celebration. As the saying goes, "we've come a long way baby". Mitch is one of the original vendors of that very first year of market when it started on 2nd street off of Central Avenue. The following year, the market was moved to Central Avenue and blossomed from there. Hard to believe how fast 10 years has flown by so please come on down to market and celebrate with us.

In honor of the 10th Anniversary, we will be having a Plant Give-away each week. Visit our booth, and put your name into our Anniversary box at our check out table. The Give-away plant will be featured at the front of our booth.  We also will be giving away some special 10% off certificates for future purchases with us.

This week, we are featuring some great new plants that we have been waiting for, and that will do very well through the Fall and Winter months..check it out !

Hot pink Diplodenia - we love this plant as it will bloom in sun as well as some shade, is incredibly hardy, and easy to grow and maintain and gives year round color

Christia Obcordata (Butterfly wing) -
This rare beauty has leaves that look just like butterflies.  This time of year, it makes a great house plant during the cool times, then can be transferred outside in Spring when warmer.

Gorgeous seasonal Poinsettia bowl with Fall perennials surrounding it

It's also HERB time, and our Basil, Thyme, Cilantro, Spearmint and heavenly "serenity" Lavender are ready. We also have edible pansies, and some big Rosemarys that make a cold-hardy garden plant that you can enjoy it's scent and use clippings for cooking.

It's GERANIUM time too, and our popular Maple Leaf Geranium is back, along with the lovely scented Lemon Lime Citronella.

Many of our customers have been hankering for some great Indoor Plants and we got some really nice ones - Pathos, Sunset Philodendron, Chinese Evergreen, White Bird of Paradise and Fiddly Figs.

Our Butterfly-friendly crops continue to thrive and Dutchman Pipe Vine, Lady Lavender Passion Flower, Alata Cerulla Passion Flower, Goldenrod and orange Cestrum are some of the offerings we have that will delight any butterfly enthusiast.

Also, we have a new market this weekend to set up at, as the Downtown Tampa Sunday Market has invited us in.  This new Sunday Market began early October and our fellow vendor friends have told us that it is a popular new destination.  This market is located downtown Tampa off of Franklin Street and Zach street, right near the Tampa theater.  We are told there is plenty of nearby free parking. The market hours there are 10am-3pm.

Remember, the holidays will be upon us before you know it, and Aunt Mary's Cedar Birdhouses make a great gift, so grab them while we still have them in stock.

A chill is in the air, which makes for spry footsteps and welcomed relief from the heat and humidity, so come on down and visit us at St. Pete Downtown Market on Saturday, or at Downtown Tampa Market on Sunday, we can't wait to see you !
