Green Thumb Festival Wrap up !

(pic) "Miss Aimee" Gardenia

Whew, what a great Green Thumb Festival! In all the years we have been doing this show, we think this past weekend had the greatest turnout ever ! Our booth, as well as others, were packed full for both days with hungry gardeners looking to restock and renew their gardens.

We could not have pulled off this show without the great Armstrong Team Members..Mitch and I were so grateful to have Donna A., Donna T, Jon, Larry (one our our guardian angels) , Aurora (our fav friend from the East coast to come all the way over to help), our sweet niece Melanie, our great Friend and neighbor, Dutch, who not only helped get the trailers in there, but as always, is a great salesman and a great story teller !

Our Hollyhocks were a great hit along with the pic above of the gorgeous Miss Aimee Gardenia... a show stopper that has gorgeous dark shiny leaves with the most aromatic of all gardenias...did you know it was a Japanese hybrid named after a man that lost his beloved daughter and wanted to honor her with its name?

We are truly blessed we had such a great show to help continue on the Armstrong Nursery efforts after a very challenging Winter and now we are in our last month of a long season that started last October....We haven't had a weekend off in 8 months, but it has been a trying, but fantastic journey in our lives.

The Sat. Morning Market in St. Pete is on its last month......it will close out the season the last weekend of May. For the meantime, we will still participate there, as well as Safety Harbor on Thursdays, Tarpon Springs and Tampa Seminole Heights on Sundays....

For those who didn't get them, we will have more of the Miss Aimee Gardenias, and hopefully more Hollyhocks, as well as other great stuff to get into your gardens for the summer, so keep on coming out to the markets to see us !
