The full crew is back at Saturday Morning Market, downtown St. Pete and we will have lots of great color for the holidays as well as new items, so come check us out.
Right now, we have gorgeous herbs, from Rosemary to Mint, Dill, Thyme, Cilantro, and we have some great starter edibles such as Patio tomatoes, Jalapeno peppers and Bok Choy. Don't forget our popular Purple Possem Passion Vine that produces yummy and healthy Passion fruit too.
This time of year, you read about a lot of great gift ideas for the holidays and one of those is making your own Infused Oil for cooking, for yourself and to gift to others. All it takes it a good quality Olive Oil and fresh herbs. There are lots of recipes for this, but basically you just want to wash and thoroughly dry your herbs, and add to the Olive Oil. Find a good quality glass jar with secure top. Ideally, you want the oil to sit at least a week to enhance it's flavor. Put a label and a nice bow on it, and you have a wonderful item to gift to others. Using it yourself? It keeps in the refrigerator for weeks !
This Sunday, is the annual Garden Plant and Gift Sale at the Florida Botanical Garden in Largo. The gardens are known for their spectacular Garden Light show every evening, and on this Sunday, Dec. 13, from 10am-4pm, there will be over 50 vendors set up with their Arts and Crafts, and a whole area devoted to Plant Nursery people, such as us.
The sale is free, and there is plenty of free parking. Check out their website for all the details and we hope to see you there ! Come for the sale and stay till dark and enjoy the light show too,
