Guess where we are headed this weekend ?!
Yup, it's Mt. Dora Plant Fair time, one of our favorite "away" shows to do and we can't wait. The weather is suppose to be gorgeous which we are truly blessed for, as last year, we had an almost complete rain out on Saturday of the show.
If you have never been to Mt. Dora, we highly recommend it as a 'one tank" trip from the Tampa Bay area. Many people only think of Mt. Dora as an "antique shop" area, and yes, while there are antiques, there is much more with lots of other unusual shops and great restaurants. Dora is a popular destination for people who love to shop, bikers and cyclists who love the fauna and flora of the area and a gorgeous lake attracts many boaters and kayakers.
One of the things we love about Dora is that when you are in that area, you are entering the rolling hills of North Florida, and for us flatlanders here in St. Pete, that's a really nice change !
At this show, we will be bringing all sorts of great Exotic tropicals, succulents and Hoyas, Butterfly friendly plants, such as Passion vines, Papyrus, Clerodendron, hardy perennials and the last of our popular Butterfly wing.
After the Mt. Dora show, we will be back weekly at Saturday Morning Market, downtown St. Pete. This is a great time to shop for plants, we are having a mild gorgeous Fall so far and it's a great time to get things established and bring some new color into your gardens and homes.
