Another day in Florida Paradise

To borrow a phrase from a good friend of ours, Greetings Citizens of Paradise !

Yes, we have had some chilly weather lately, but compared with the rest of the country, we truly do live in Paradise here on the west coast of Florida !

We have been pretty busy with protecting our plant inventory stock, but frost covers helped, and all the plants are looking super. We are lucky we have some really cold hardy stock right now which means we can still bring you some great plants to enjoy even in our so-called winter time.

The timing of the recent cold spell meant we were unable to do Phillippi Market in Sarasota this past week, but tomorrow, Sat. Jan. 25th is suppose to be beautiful in downtown St. Pete at the Saturday Morning Market, so we hope you can head down to the market and enjoy the day.

January has gone by so quickly, and before you know it, we will be heading into our Spring season of Botanical shows around the state.  March and April will be very busy with between Markets and shows, so stay tuned to the blog for the info about upcoming events.

We have some great new plants available this week, along with our regular stock.  Many people have been asking for home and office plants and we have some gorgeous Bird of Paradise that fits the bill nicely.  Nothing beats color for cold weather times like the Yellow Bush Daisy and ours are loaded with blooms and buds. We have some new ferns, like Snow Queen and Birds Nest.  Our passion vines are simply gorgeous right now and we are stocked back up with Purple Possem (edible fruit), Dark Red, burgandy Lady Margaret and Blue Alata Ceruella.

We still have Bougainvillea in stock, and currently have great little starter vines on trellis.  Probably the prettiest thing blooming now for us is the small leaf Tibouchina Glory Flower, just loaded with blooms and buds.  As always, we are restocked back up with our very popular Tillandsias from Central and South America.  These airplants are so EZ to grow and maintain and can be used indoors and out.

That's just a few highlights, stop on by market tomorrow and check things out, and of course, you can always email us about setting up a time to shop if you can't make market.

See you at Market!
