Happenings Last Weekend of March !

Hard to believe that March is almost over ! At least we are finally getting into our Spring and some gorgeous gardening weather.

The Leu Gardens event was a pretty good success, although we all got rained out on Sunday about mid-day. The garden itself looked like it was making a nice recovery from the January freeze. Great turnout of crowds and 10 lucky customers got our special "Wollemi Pine" plant and were thrilled to get this rare specimen.

Got delayed getting back to St. Pete when Ole Nellie, our old truck, blew it's starter and Mitch had to set up a mechanic station in the parking lot of the Comfort Inn to get it fixed ! Made it back home Monday afternoon safe and sound.

Events this week !
We are still challenged on having enough stock to do all these events and are having to forgo some things temporarily. Note, the downtown St. Pete Market will be closed this Sat, because of the Grand Prix Car Race. We will be unable to do the Safety Harbor Farmer Market on Thursday, BUT, we will be in Safety Harbor on Sat. from 9am-3pm for it's "Bloom N' Garden" Festival. The event takes place on Main Street and will coincide with their Sidewalk Chalk festival also. We have always heard great things about this Garden sale and are lucky to be able to participate this year.

Sat/Sunday, we will be at University of Tampa "Green Fest", one of the 5 major Spring Plant shows in our area. The grounds of UT are gorgeous and sit right next to the river. It is located just off downtown and ez drive to get to from Pinellas County. The event runs both days from 9am-5pm.

Sunday, March 28th, up in the air about the Tarpon Springs Market as they have not notified us if they will hold it this weekend...keep checking in for update on that.
