Oh my gosh, we came across one of the rarest plants in the world today..the Wollemi Pine..this plant dates back to the Jurassic Age, and I have to tell you, it is one of the most beautiful plants we have ever seen! This plant is treasured by all rare-plant enthusiasts around the world and finds its origin in a small forest in Australia.

Availability is limited, and we will be honest, it is a high-priced plant, but when you check it out, you will understand! I am totally in love with the lovely Wollemi and I know you will be too..pictures don't due it justice, but including one here for you that I found. What's great about it, it tolerates to zone 7, but is a great indoor plant anywhere in the world !
What do we have? They are in 6" pots, but 2 to 3 ft tall ! They are very drought tolerant and can tolerate heat and cold. You know, we spend a lot of time visiting fellow nurseries and for the most part, when we tour around the selection, its kinda the 'same ole"....when I spotted this today, I yelled out to Mitch "look at this"...and of course, Mitch being the supreme "plantman", said "oh yeah, that is such and such" lol ! But I have to tell ya, he knew about it, but on more inspection and talking with the grower, he realized that karma had visited upon us this day and of course, when we come across something so special, it really energizes us so much, especially when we were a bit down in the dumps today with pretty cold weather expected tonight and we have been busy protecting all our lovely inventory.
Okay, enough ramblings....check this plant out and we are thrilled that we may be able to share it with so many of our fellow rare-plant enthusiasts !
