Events Week of Jan 28-31st 2010
Sorry, we are behind on updating our blog this week. It has been so wonderful to have very nice weather lately, cool enough to be comfy and sunny enough to lift our spirits after the 10 day deep freeze.
The pic at left is the gorgeous Rieger Begonia. This is cross between a winter and summer flowering begonia, which means it will bloom most of the year. An excellent indoor plant that loves bright light or wonderful for patios too. This will give you some lovely color right now when so many things are brown. It makes a wonderful gift too! We have them available in a wide-variety of colors in 4" pots for only $4.
Our events this week:
Thurs. Jan. 28th Safety Harbor Market
Sat. Jan. 30 Saturday Morning Market Downtown St. Pete (come early, suppose to rain!)
Sun. Jan. 31 Tarpon Springs Market
Speaking of Tarpon Springs Market, this is a new market that we are participating up in that wonderful Greek community and the residents have been coming out to support it. On a lovely corner location at Tarpon Ave. and Alt 19, they have a full contingent of high quality vendors, live music and seating areas, and have plans to expand already! The organizers have been wonderfully supportive to vendors and the city and various area sponsors have given generous support that enables a first-class market !
Our week here is ending with getting our application into the City of St. Pete for the Green Thumb Festival, held at Walter Fuller Park, the end of April. People are also asking us about other Spring Shows coming up and you will hear more about those next week !
