Summer Market Season Ender Aug. 27, 2016

Greetings all from the Jungle - the Home Nursery Jungle that is !

This week, we have been preparing for the last day of Williams Park Saturday Morning Market, our Summer Market, which ends this Sat. Aug. 27th.  It has been a great summer, with tons of great customers, weather that over-all wasn't too bad, great sales for us and many others too.

We are always a bit sad to end Summer Market but the month of September will give all of us some re-grouping time to get ready for the new Market season that starts Sat. Oct. 1st back at Al Lang Field.

This summer, our customers got some great discounted deals on gorgeous plants and this coming Saturday is no exception - all succulents will be on sale, along with butterfly friendly plants, exotics and much more. This is the time to get some great discounts on great plants before prices go back up for the regular season.

Here's what's been happening this week:

We just love this new Mini Cacti - doesn't it look like an alien ?

Cleaning out some of the nursery area, we found some hidden beauties - one of Annie's favorite fern called an "Albo" fern. Lovely varigation, it grows up and out and make a lively statement in a shady area.  We will have them available in 6inch pots.

Annie found her Blue Pea Vine blooming like mad, tucked in an out of the way corner.  Making cuttings now !

We still have some of the lovely Pink feather Celosia available.  One of our favorite perennials, the blooms are very soft and float in the breeze.

Our "Incense" Passion flower vines are blooming like mad - we just love the fragrance and it's intricate design and the butterflies swarm to it.

Little "Life Savers" and....

Big Life Savers !

Love love these Pink Quills that produce this
deep purple bloom that smells like cinnamon.

Shark Week continues as we still have a few unusual Sharks Tooth Soft Night Blooming Cactus in hanging pots.

The Tibouchinas continue to bloom and add a rare purple color to the garden.

Also on big sale this weekend, our Red Button Gingers and these gorgeous  Bamboo Gingers

So come on down to market this Saturday and get some great plants and great prices and give yourself time to walk around the market as many other vendors are also having great sales.
