Mother's Day Weekend

 Greeting all !

May is upon us, and the first holiday we spend is  honoring our Mothers this Mothers Day Sunday, May 8th.

For Mitch and I, our treasured Mothers have passed, so instead we honor the friends, sisters, aunts, grandmothers and women mentors that mean so much to  us, each in their own way, contributing to  our growth, who are still there for us !

Whatever your budget, we are confident you will find something lovely in our booth at Saturday Morning Market this weekend and for those who know that a plant is truly the gift that keeps on giving, and buying any plant, whether from us, or others, will honor and give pleasure to the special woman in your life.

For many people that we all know who love plants, we don't always the yard or the garden space for plants, and the next best thing is an excellent easy, indoor house plant.

Our Anthuriums and Calatheas are excellent choices for providing plant pleasure and easy care.

Anthuriums provide months long blooming color, and Calatheas, such as the Rattle snake Calathea here, provide wonderful variegation, texture and color.

One of our favorite new Calatheas, is the "Fusion White" pictured at left.  Lovely varigation and the underside of the leaf is a burgandy color - truly spectacular.  Only requiring watering once a week, it just needs a bright space in home or office, and is slow growing, so it won't "take over" a small space.

For those who do have some sunny spaces, the Gardenia is an eternal favorite and is considered the "gift of love".

Gardenias can be easily grown in containers and given some good light and moisture, they will thrive and blooms multiple times over the years.

One of Annie's favorite memories is visiting her Grandmothers house, and seeing Gardenia flowers "floating" in a bowl of water in the kitchen -what a heavenly scent !

For THE lowest maintenance and easy care, you can't beat our Mini Succulents, where they can thrive indoors and out.

If the special woman in your life, is a busy person, these can't be beat - hanging out on a pretty kitchen windowsill, sunny side table in the living room, or in an arrangement on the porch. Only needing watering once every 2-3 weeks, they are the ultimate for easy care.

Our huge selection of Mini succulents provide color, texture and interest to any way you want to display them.

Join us at Saturday Morning Market this Sat., May 7th as we celebrate the Mothers Day weekend as well as enjoying our last days of the regular market season that ends on May 28th, but don't worry, Summer Market starts right away in June !

The following weekend, May 14-15, Mitch and I are off to Punta Gorda for our last big Spring Plant Show celebration with the Hibiscus Festival, a great venue for ending our Spring Season - we will return to Market on May 21st & 28th.
