Wittia amazonica & Summer Bloomers around the nursery July 16 2015

Greetings from July summer time in Florida.! Just a quick note on one of our rare plants before we talk about what's happening around the nursery.

In the last day or two, Mitch has been communicating with some online folks about cuttings for the Wittia amazonica being available to ship..Mitch is busy taking pics and will be determining cost for cutting plus shipping and will let everyone know by early next week.  We will be communicating with everyone that has already emailed us, and if you are interested too, please send us an email at marketannie@aol.com to get your request in - Please note, at this time, we can only ship within the U.S. (no Canada/Europe/Asia - thanks for your interest on this rare amazing specimen!

Our current Plant Availability list is at the end of this blog entry, check it out !

Now, here's what's happening around the nursery....
Walking around today, it is just ablazed with so many different types of blooms.  The rainy weather and all our sunshine are just making everything spout beautiful and tall.

The large soft leaf Tibouchina heteromalla is just starting to bloom and this older specimen (about 7 feet tall) is just gorgeous to look at.

This drooping pale yellow Hibiscus Tree is another one of our favorites.  This is perfect grown as a Tree since the height allows you to better see the blooms that hang down just like bells.

The Duranta (Sapphire Showers) are one of those plants that just loves sunshine, and rain, and humidity doesn't bother them a bit !  You can grow as busy or tree like and it's a butterfly magnet.

Speaking of butterflies, we have a lot of great butterfly friendly plants, from host plants to nectar plants. Butterfly gardening is fun and it's a great way to help out Mother Nature in your garden !

This double Red Hibiscus tree above, is one of our favorites because she is a prolific bloomer and her striking deep red color is great contrast against all the green of the garden !

Rain or Shine, we plan to be at Saturday Morning Summer Market this weekend, and you can always visit us during the week too to tour our garden and check out some beautiful plants !

Yes, we still have Butterfly Wing (aka Christia obcordata) in stock ! We are growing ours in full sun (western exposure) and they are doing great, they love the heat and humidity this time of year.  If you want it for shade/partial sun, porches etc, it will do just fine too, its adaptability is one of our favorite things about it.
