Back from Mt. Dora

Just got home last night from our first big show of the Fall season, that was held in beautiful Mt. Dora. Thank you to our super-duper friends, Sherry and Stuart, who always provide us a wonderful home-away-from-home during our time there. They are truly our guardian angels that always give such loving support to us ! The weather was a little iffy, with very windy conditions on the Lake and we spent a lot of time picking our plants up. The customer attendance was off this year but the ones that turned out, were great to see and we truly appreciate that they support the event and all of the vendor's efforts. A special thank you to the "Curly Annie" customer who showed up as we were packing up....she had dashed up from Miami just in time to get the Bamboo which she had been dreaming about from last year, thank you for keeping us in your heart!

Special "thank you" to Linda Taylor of Its Our Nature, that rescued me when I needed warm socks! It was also great to see fellow plant vendor friends such as Paula, the Pepper Lady, the Olive Tree people, Jan and her Ornamental Iron and our George, another exotic tropical vendor who always provides great hugs and humor.

If you ever have a chance to visit Mt. Dora, you won't be disappointed. A beautiful lake front area with parks, and a quaint downtown with lots of interesting shops. For those of you who want to go there from our area, we highly recommend taking the 429 north of I-4 before you get to Orlando..a quiet, gentle road thru rolling hills.

Luckily, we arrived safe and sound, and none too soon, as our ole Betsy of a truck, threw her clutch upon literally landing at the nursery property. Thank you to the angels that got us home!
Anyone gotta a clutch?!
