Monday, Oct. 27, 2008 Pinellas Park Market

It is the 3rd week of this market and it continues to improve in attendance every week. The market got some recent press in the BEACON, and the St. Pete Times was out today to interview vendors. For a new start-up market, the management and the City of Pinellas Park are putting great effort into promoting the market, as well as make the market a "happening" place to be on Mondays.

Right now there are about a dozen vendors and more are slated to come. Some of the highlights is Linda Taylor of "Its Our Nature" with her wonderful organic cotton goods; We have an Orchid vendor who brings beautiful specimens every week, and of course, the produce is plentiful, at great prices. Today, they had some of the largest pumpkins I have ever seen at a market for only $7.99..what a great price!

We like the community feel with the local AVON lady, local artisans and they always have lively music. The Market Manager also vends at the Gulfport, Ybor & Dunedin Markets, so he has lots of experience.

If you are in the area on Mondays, check it out! It is located on 81st Avenue just west off of 49th street. Market hours are 9am-2 pm.

We will not be participating this coming Monday Nov. 3rd as we will just be returning from the Mt. Dora Garden show, but we will return Monday, Nov. 10th.
